Itinerary | Rupin Pass Trek - 7N/8D
DAY 1 – Dehradun → Mori (1100m) → Dhaula (1800m)
(Drive – 195 km / 7–8 Hours)
Assemble at Dehradun Railway Station by 7 AM and begin your scenic drive to the beautiful hamlet of Mori, nestled along the peaceful Tons River.
After exploring the ancient Pokhu Devta Temple at Netwar, continue your drive to Dhaula, the starting point of the Rupin Pass Trek.
Relax in your campsite and prepare for the adventure ahead.

DAY 2 – Dhaula → Sewa (2100m)
(Trek – 3–4 Hours)
Trek through stunning rhododendron forests, soft meadows, and charming landscapes.
Reach the quiet village of Sewa, perfect for an evening of relaxation.

DAY 3 – Sewa → Jakha (2700m)
(Trek – 6–7 Hours)
Walk through remote hamlets and interact with locals to experience true mountain culture.
Enjoy mixed forests, village trails, and your first glimpse of the snowy Dhauladhar Range.
Arrive at Jakha, the highest village in this region.

DAY 4 – Jakha → Suruwas Thach (3250m)
(Trek – 5–6 Hours)
Hike beside the river and ascend through dense forest until you reach the entrance of the Rupin Valley.
Enjoy your first stunning view of the Rupin Waterfall.
Overnight stay in picturesque Suruwas Thach meadows (tents).
DAY 5 – Suruwas Thach → Dhanderas Thach
(Trek – 5 km / 4 Hours)
Ascend through beautiful alpine meadows and photo-perfect landscapes.
Walk through possible snow patches to reach the Upper Waterfall campsite, one of the most scenic camping areas in the world.
Overnight stay in tents.
DAY 6 – Dhanderas Thach → Upper Waterfall Camp
(3 Hours + 2 Hours Steep Climb)
Begin early and trek through snowfields and rocky patches.
Depending on conditions, ropes may be used for safe ascent.
At the top, enjoy majestic views of Kinner Kailash and surrounding Himalayan peaks.
Descend towards Ronti Gad pastures.

DAY 7 – Upper Waterfall → Rupin Pass → Ronti Gad

A challenging but rewarding day as you descend towards Sangla.

Reach Sangla for a refreshing cup of hot tea.

DAY 8 – Ronti Gad → Sangla → Shimla
