Itinerary | Har ki Dun Trek - 6N/7D
DAY 1 – Arrive in Dehradun → Drive to Sankri
Start your Himalayan adventure from Dehradun, driving through scenic mountain roads to the charming village of Sankri. En route, pass through Purola, the last major town for network connectivity and essentials.
The journey after Purola takes you through beautiful pine forests with glimpses of Kedarkantha Peak.
Reach Sankri by evening—home to apple orchards, small local shops, and mesmerizing views of Swargarohini Peak.
Overnight stay in guest house/camps.
DAY 2 – Sankri → Puani Garat
Start early and drive to Taluka through forest roads and small water crossings.
Begin your trek from Taluka on a nature-rich trail lined with cedar trees and the flowing Supin River.
Pass villages like Datmer and Gangad before arriving at the peaceful campsite of Puani Garat.
Overnight stay in tents.
DAY 3 – Puani Garat → Kalkatidhar
Trek towards Osla Village, known for its terraced fields and traditional wooden houses.
This is the steepest stretch of the trek, but highly rewarding.
Walk through fields, pine forests, and floral patches with orchids and sunflowers.
Reach the breathtaking meadow campsite of Kalkatidhar, perfect for acclimatization and relaxation.
Overnight stay in tents.
DAY 4 – Har Ki Dun Trek (Via Marinda Tal)
Today’s trek is long but incredibly scenic.
Visit the roaring waterfall with a small tea stall nearby, then walk to the confluence of Supin and Ruinsara rivers for majestic views of Black Peak and surrounding mountains.
Continue to the panoramic Har Ki Dun Valley, located at the meeting point of two glacier-fed valleys.
From here, trek further to the serene high-altitude Marinda Tal, formed by a natural rock blockage.
Return to Kalkatidhar by evening.
Overnight stay in tents.
DAY 5 – Kalkatidhar → Puani Garat
After breakfast, descend back to Osla Village, enjoying views of the entire valley.
Interact with locals, discover Garhwali culture, and explore the village pathways.
Continue to Puani Garat, where you can relax at the riverside campsite.
Overnight stay in tents.
DAY 6 – Puani Garat → Sankri
Begin your descent to Taluka through forests and river-side trails.
The downhill trek feels different and more enjoyable as landscapes open up beautifully.
Reach Taluka and board your vehicle for a short drive back to Sankri.
Overnight stay in guest house/camps.
DAY 7 – Sankri → Dehradun
After breakfast, drive back to Dehradun through the peaceful terrain of Mori, pine forests, and charming mountain settlements.
Arrive in Dehradun by late afternoon, marking the end of your Har Ki Dun Trek with TravelBit Holidays.
