Chopta Chandrashila Trek
The Chopta Chandrashila Trek upraises from Hadsar, which is a drive away distance from Dharamshala, and heads to Dancho that is perched at an altitude of 2,280 meters. From Dancho there is a gradual climb passing through the valley of flowers and wild medicinal herbs till the journey expunges to the last reach that cuts across the glacier of the lake. The Manimahesh Lake en circles a barren topography with small hilly mounds, boulders and dry bushes. The trek continues downhill to Dancho and then leads off at Dharamshala.
Itinerary | Chopta Chandrashila Trek - 4N/5D
DAY 1 – Departure from Delhi
Start your memorable journey with TravelBit Holidays as you board an evening Tempo Traveller / Sedan / SUV / Swift Dzire (as per group size) around 10:00 PM from Delhi.
Enjoy an overnight journey filled with excitement for the hills ahead.
DAY 2 – Arrival at Chopta

Stop for breakfast en route (on your own), reach Rishikesh by early morning and continue towards Chopta.

DAY 3 – Trek to Tungnath & Chandrashila Peak
After a delicious morning breakfast, gear up for a beautiful trek.
Begin the 6 KM trek to Tungnath while interacting with friendly locals who share interesting stories about the region.
Visit Tungnath Temple (3680 m)—the highest Shiva temple in the world.
Trek further to reach Chandrashila Peak, offering a breathtaking 180° Himalayan view including Nanda Devi, Chaukhamba, Bandarpunch & Kedar Peak.
Return to Chopta for a cozy bonfire evening.

DAY 4 – Trek to Deoria Tal & Return Journey
After breakfast, proceed towards Sari Village, the starting point of your next adventure.
Enjoy the 2 KM scenic uphill trek to the pristine Deoria Tal Lake (2438 m).
Experience panoramic village views, fresh mountain fragrance, and the stunning Chaukhamba peak reflection in the lake.
With a heart full of memories, begin your return journey towards Delhi in the evening.
DAY 5 – End of Journey
