Itinerary | Snow Leopard Trek - 7N/8D
DAY 1: Arrive in Leh
• Arrive at Leh Airport and meet our representative for a warm welcome.
• Check in to the hotel and relax with tea, snacks, and lunch.
• In the evening, visit the iconic Shanti Stupa for a stunning sunset view.
• Explore the historic Leh Palace followed by a stroll through the local markets.
• Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
DAY 2: Leh Local Sightseeing + Chilling
• After breakfast, begin a scenic drive towards the Confluence of the Zanskar & Indus Rivers.
• En-route visits include:
– Spituk Gompa
– Gurudwara Pathar Sahib
– Ladakh Hall of Fame
– Magnetic Hill
• Drive towards Chilling, a village known as the starting point of the Chadar Trek route.
• Return to Leh for overnight stay.
DAY 3: Leh → Zingchen → Rumbak Valley
• After an early breakfast, check out and drive to Zingchen, the starting point of the trek.
• Trek from Zingchen to Rumbak Valley through a steady uphill trail.
• Rumbak Valley is famous for Snow Leopard sightings, so stay alert as you walk.
• Overnight stay at camp/homestay.
DAY 4: Rumbak Valley → Stok La → Rumbak Valley
• Continue the Snow Leopard Trek towards Stok La Pass.
• This area has one of the highest chances of spotting Snow Leopards.
• Enjoy panoramic Himalayan views from Stok La before heading back to Rumbak.
• Overnight stay at camp/homestay.
DAY 5: Explore Rumbak & Nearby Valleys
• A full day exploration around Rumbak, including:
– Husing Valley
– Tsarbung Valley
– Kharlung Valley
– Tarbung Valley
• These valleys are well known for Snow Leopard tracks and sightings.
• Follow the natural trails, footprints, and wildlife routes with your guide.
• Overnight stay at camp/homestay.
DAY 6: Rumbak Valley Free Day
• Free day for self-exploration around Rumbak.
• Optional visit to nearby traditional Ladakhi villages to experience local culture.
• Overnight stay at camp/homestay.
DAY 7: Rumbak → Zingchen → Leh
• Trek back to Zingchen while enjoying the scenic landscapes.
• Drive towards Leh with a visit to Spituk Monastery en route.
• Arrive in Leh and check-in at the hotel for your final night’s stay.
DAY 8: Departure from Leh
• After breakfast, transfer to Leh Airport for your onward journey.
• Your Snow Leopard Trek concludes with unforgettable memories of Ladakh.
